So, here…. it now looks like Trump is on the verge of being indicted for assorted crimes, and he may make further history by being convicted…. Thanks to the testimony given to the House Committee, and the sterling leadership of Congresswoman Liz Cheney, and the “first hand” accounts laid down by Cassidy Hutchinson…it is likely that this will conclude badly for “DT”
To me…what is fascinating is how “DT” was so successful in fooling so many smart, well intended people, and how the “DTs” will live on, state by state, even if “DT” himself is “de-commissioned” by the “plea bargain” he will accept..
To thoroughly disinfect the American psyche… of the residual effects of “the DTs” syndrome… is going to take more doses of “Liz Cheney-ism.”… Will her constituents in Wyoming be willing to re-elect her? How can the “progressive majority” abide with Cheney’s “conservative to the bone” perspective. Can there be a “Meeting of the Minds” of the “Semi-socialists who think that it is government’s job to provide for the needs of “the totally needy”…. vs the Conservatives who have the feeling that “They made it on their own, AND …so should the needy”….
Some of our “states” call themselves “Commonwealths”. To me. this seems to imply that the “proper functioning “ of government is up to us deciding “how much,…. if at all,…. are we who have enough that we spend a lot of time focusing on “conserving what we got”…
So, lets say I have accumulated. “quite a bundle,”, and I am generous to my local “elected public officials”, such that my “bundle” remains “safe and growing… This has the effect of keeping “the needy” still in a lot of need… They go without good healthcare”, good housing, good education”
That then causes “ever deepening wounds and frictions”, and we have to all suffer the violence in the streets….we see daily. Is the crime in all the headlines due to “bad needy” or due to our creating systems that tell the needy, in so many words…. “I got mine, now you go get yours.
Public college education, back in the 40s, 50s, 60s was essentially free. Now it is $8500 for tuition and books and fees. Food and housing and personal expenses are another $20,000.
There is more “overall wealth” these days…but the top 10% of us keep 76% of the nation’s wealth..
…. as of 2013…. By now it is more extreme.
It must seem to the “bottom 90% of our population… that the game is rigged, and what we get is a society that believes, like the old Beatles song said… “Happiness is a Warm Gun, yes it is.”
Japan, this year, until yesterday’s assassination… had ONE GUN DEATH this year, for the whole country. What makes the Japanese so different from us.?
What is the cause and cure for "the DTs"
